prep time: 10 minutes
cook time: 30+ minutes
total time: less than 1 hour
What You Will Need
saute pan or saucier
spatula/wooden spoon
measuring cups
Ingredients
2-4 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
2-4 garlic cloves, minced or crushed
1 lb organic ground beef
1 can tomoato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
1/2 Tbsp italian seasoning
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2-1 cup water (can omit if you want it less liquidy)
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
fresh basil, for serving
How to Make
Step One: Heat oil in sauce pan on medium heat
Step Two: Once hot, add onion and garlic, cook until fragrant, about 5 minutes. I tend to add the onion first and then the garlic a few minutes later so it doesn’t burn.
Step Three: With the onion and garlic still in pan add the beef. Brown the beef and drain the excess grease. I like to cook meat low and slow and I leave the beef slightly pink, so take your time with this, it’ll make it nice and juicy!

Step Four: Add in all other ingredients, bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Simmer and let sit for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

Step Five: Serve hot over cooked noodles or turn into another dish, like lasagna, lasagna soup, sauce for meatballs. Enjoy!
