Learn how to make an americano at home. This simple staple coffee drink only has a few steps and can be made hot or iced.

Do you know the history of your beloved americano? In World War II American soldiers stationed in Italy thought the espresso was too strong so they thought to add water to their espresso drinks to make it taste more like drink coffee, and voila, the americano was invented.

An americano is just that, a shot or two of espresso topped with water.
